Imooty Background
As the Imooty founders Blaise Bourgeois (French) and Kristoffer Lassen (Norway) met during the summer of 2006, they were looking for an easy way to share and exchange different news perspectives.
The idea of creating a common platform for the European media landscape would soon gain powerful supporters: The Freie Universität in Berlin offered a partnership and mentored the project through the Institute of Journalism and Communication Studies. This resulted in a Exist Start-up grant from the German Ministry of Economics and Technology. Imooty then won a prestigious multimedia price (€25.000) and was nominated as "Business Innovation of the Year 2009" by the European Business Awards.
With these achievements and a growing number of enthusiastic partners, Imooty started to build a "must have" service for European small and medium sized businesses.
